magaz ne, where Ajda Pekkan was on the jury,
and placed s xth, ga n ng attent on. In 1975,
under the name Sezen Seley, she released her
f rst 45 rpm record, Hayd Şansım, mark ng the

beg nn ng of her mus c career.

Her breakthrough came w th Olmaz Olsun,
her th rd 45 rpm record, released n 1976. She
became ncreas ngly famous, and when she
performed Olmaz Olsun on telev s on on New
Year's Eve, the ent re country was talk ng
about her the next day.

In 1976, she started her f rst l ve
performances. In 1977, she released several 45
rpm records: Allahaısmarladık/Kaç Yıl Geçt
Aradan, Kaybolan Yıllar/Neye Yarar, as well as
her f rst full-length LP, Allahaısmarladık.

In 1979, she released İlk Gün G b /Yalancı
and Allahaşkına/Sens z İç me S nm yor, wh ch
strengthened her place n the Turk sh mus c

ndustry. That same year, she made her debut
n the f lm ndustry. Her f rst mov e, M n k Serçe
(L ttle Sparrow), wh ch earned her the
n ckname "M n k Serçe" from then on.
